New Zealand has legalised same-sex marriage this week! yippee!

Lucy Mangan wrote about how she wouldn’t forget Maggie Thatcher in a hurry because she remembers when she was a child, the “absurdity and cruelty of Section 28, which tried to tell the world that our friends, the people who came for lunch and made us laugh, who told me and my sister bedtime stories, who helped my mum look after dad when he got ill, who loved us and each other, weren’t fit to be mentioned by anyone in charge of our moral or intellectual welfare.”

Peter Tatchell wrote about his meeting with the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

Simon Kuper in the FT wrote about how the way to preach to the unconverted is for liberals to steal conservative language e.g.that phrase ‘family values’ in order to support gay marriage.
